A quick note on 2016
This site's been a bit quiet since the release of Shepherds: Awakening. I actually have a few technical blog posts ready to go; I just need to find the time to actually finish up the code and package everything so it's easy to use.
In terms of writing, I'm deep into my second book, tentatively titled Shepherds: Origins. It was originally planned as a short novelette on the origins of Shepherds and where Shades come from, but the more I planned it out, the more interested it became and the more it grew. Just yesterday it passed the word count for the first Shepherds novel, and I've completely blown past my Christmas deadline, but it's all good; I think the story is better for it. Overall I'm excited about this one.
In lieu of not having an entire story for you, I've released the first chapter online. It still hasn't gone through editing yet, but I'd love to hear your feedback on it.
2016 was a crazy year! I released my first book, learned a hell of a lot, and got some great responses. I'm looking forward to 2017, so with only a few hours to go, have a great New Year's Eve!
